What equipment will I need to do these exercises?

Exercise Mat: ~ $15.00 – $30.00

We want to sweat during our workouts! But we also want to keep our carpets clean and odour free! So the best and most sanitary option is to purchase an exercise or yoga mat.
If you will be exercising on a hard surface, have sensitive knees, or if you just want to experience a little extra luxury while you workout – you may want to purchase a thicker mat.  The Treadmill Factory has a great mat for about $30.00.

Dumbbell, Kettle Bell, or Other Small Weight: ~ $1.00 per pound (for a dumbbell)

For most people, this weight will range from 5 to 15 pounds.

If you don’t wish to purchase any weights at this time, there are many household items that will work just as well.

  • Soup Can
  • Orange juice jug: filled with sand, water, or rice (This one works particularly well. The handle is already built in)
  • bag of rice (you can duck tape a handle directly to the bag)
  • Be creative!

Stability Ball: ~ $30.00

Many people already own this piece of equipment, but if you don’t, you can purchase yours at any fitness store, Canadian Tire or Walmart.
