Here at TGIF In Home Personal Training, I am 100% committed to helping you reach your health and fitness goals in the comfort of your own home. I understand how important your time is and how busy life can be, which is why I make it a priority to fit YOUR training into YOUR schedule! Each of my clients will receive a personalized fitness program tailored to their specific fitness goals, needs, and capabilities. On average, this program will be revised every four weeks to ensure the client sees continuous improvement in fitness level and body composition. Injury prevention and rehabilitation are extremely important components of every workout, which is why it is beneficial that your personal trainer is also an OKA certified Kinesiologist. As a Kinesiologist, I am able to provide my clients with the safest and most effective fitness programs possible.

ABOUT ME…

Hi! My name is Heather and I am a certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and Kinesiologist. I live in Mississauga, Ontario with my husband and our two dogs. I started TGIF In Home Personal Training after quitting my job in the summer of 2011. For me, fitness is t part of my everyday life. It is what I am passionate about . My goal with TGIF is to help you become the strongest, healthiest you possible.

This is a picture of my husband and I just before our July wedding in 2012.

This is Rex. He is half Doberman, a quarter Rottweiler and a quarter German Shepherd. The first picture is of our little Rexy on the day that we picked him out from his litter. He was about 6 weeks old then. The second picture is a few months later standing on his favourite rock. Today Rex weighs about 80 pounds and is our big cry baby :)

Say hello to Reina! She is a Doberman….Something. We were told that she was a Doberman Rottweiler and that she would weigh between 110 and 120 pounds. Ha! She weighs about 60 pounds soaking wet, but even with her small size, she’s still the boss of her big brother. She loves people, cuddling, swimming and food!

Progression and Variety:
Doing the same routine over and over again can get really boring. It also isn’t a very effective way to train. Our bodies are designed to adapt to the stresses we place on it. This is why we are able to see changes in muscle size and strength, as well as decreases in body fat percentage when we workout. If our fitness routine isn’t revised regularly, our bodies will become accustomed to that stress and we won’t be able to see any further benefits from our training. Here at TGIF we update our clients training programs regularly! That way you don’t plateau!
