Hey everyone! I hope all of you had a great holiday and are super excited for all the great things to come in 2014! I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you, my favourite healthy recipes from 2013, as well as a new health challenge for the month of January. Last year, I did the 30 day vegetable challenge where I challenged myself to come up with 30 vegetable recipes in 30 days. While I am hoping that all of you enjoyed and benefited from the recipes, the challenge part of it, was more for myself. This year, I want all of you to be able to participate in the challenge, if you are feeling up to it.

January 2014 Fitness + Diet Challenge Guidelines:

  • Minimum 30 – 60 minutes of physical activity 5 to 7 days/week
  • Minimum of 15 minutes of stretching 5 to 7 days/week
  • At least 1 full serving of vegetables with every meal (including breakfast)
  • Sugar Free
    • Aim to only consume sugars that are naturally present in foods. Example: fresh fruit, dates, raisins, etc.
    • Avoid sugars in baked goods, chocolate, etc.
You can choose to follow all of the challenge guidelines, or choose the ones that you would like to focus on.
I will be posting the activities or workouts that I do each day, along with sample meals, serving sizes and sugar free treats.

Challenge End Date: January 31st 2014
