How to stretch your biceps:

  • Stand with your side six inches to a foot away from the wall
  • Lift your arm up behind you, and place the back of your hand on the wall, thumb pointing down
  • The hand should be in line with the shoulder. If this is too hard for you, you may keep the hand lower. (Do not bring the hand higher than the shoulder)
  • Keep the elbow straight and the shoulder down
  • Take a small step forward with the leg that is closest to the wall
  • Shift your weight forward¬† as you press your shoulder in towards the wall
  • Gently twist away from the wall to increase the stretch down the bicep
  • Hold the stretch for 30 seconds and repeat with the other arm

What you should feel when stretching your biceps:

  • The bicep muscles are located on the front side of the upper arms. When you stretch these muscles, you should feel a stretch from the front the the shoulder, down the front of the arm to the elbow.
