I have never been a big fan of berry smoothies because of the seeds! I do not enjoy having to chew my drinks. And black berries are the worst. They are huge and have a 100% chance of getting stuck in your teeth! ….But I had a huge bag of mixed frozen berries, and I was determined to use it. I also really wanted to benefit from all the wonderful antioxidants these berries had to offer… So I went ahead and made myself a berry smoothie anyways. The seeds weren’t as bad as I thought they would be, but it still wasn’t my cup of tea…

So the next day I decided to make another berry smoothie, but this time I poured it through a small metal strainer before pouring it into my cup. (a novel concept I know…lol)

And the result? A Smooth Berry-licious Smoothie!

Now I can happily add this berry smoothie to my repertoire of delicious morning beverages! 😀


  • 2 cups Almond Milk
  • 2 cups Mixed Frozen Berries
  • 2 Bananas
  • 2 tbs Groung Chia Seeds
  • 2 tbs Hemp Hearts – Get your Hemp Hearts Here
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach (optional)


  • Add all ingredients to a blender in the order they are listed
  • Blend until smooth
  • Pour through a small metal strainer into a large measuring cup or container
  • Divide evenly into two large glasses
  • Makes 2 servings
