Green Chocolate Smoothie

Don’t be fooled by the greenish-brown colour of this breakfast smoothie!  It’s packed with nutrition and tastes great! You can never go wrong with chocolate and bananas in the morning :) I have created two versions of this recipe. For those of you who are comfortable using protein powder, the first recipe is for you. For those who would prefer to take a more natural route, the second recipe is for you 😀

Green Chocolate Smoothie

Recipe 1:
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 extra ripe banana
1 large handful of fresh spinach
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1 tbs hemp harts
OR
1 tbs ground flax seed

Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in the blender
2. Blend until smooth
3. Poor into a large glass and enjoy for breakfast or a post workout snack

Green Smoothie

Recipe 2:
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
3/4 cup unsweetened greek yogurt
1 extra ripe banana
1 large handful of fresh spinach
1 tbs cocoa powder
1 tbs hemp harts
OR
1 tbs ground flax seed

Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in the blender
2. Blend until smooth
3. Poor into a large glass and enjoy for breakfast or a post workout snack
